Steel Fabrication
New and pre-owned marine shipping containers are converted to customer-specific requirements. Containers are extremely robust and are therefore ideally suited to rugged environments where safety is a concern, especially underground.
These are easily stackable units and can also be joined to make larger secure units. Inside cladding and shop-fitting will provide more upmarket and aesthetically pleasing units.
Individual site offices, workshops or control rooms can be provided in different sizes and shapes at an affordable price.
Mobile electronic house substations (E-houses) are factory made customised modular structures used as power substations. An electrical house, which is also called a power house, is a pre-fabricated walk-in modular outdoor enclosure that houses auxiliary equipment as well as medium voltage (mV) and low voltage (lV) switch gear.
The innovative E-house substation relies on a new approach to standards, regulations, and specifications. It is a modular, easy to lift and transport. The E-house building is constructed by using interlocking metal panels covered by a cladding in sandwich panel technology. These can be skid- or wheel-mounted and is ready to operate in the field with a minimum installation, commissioning and start-up time - as an alternative to traditional on-site building construction (concrete block, brick construction or similar).
To take into consideration are the logistics and associated costs of transporting all of the items to site in separate transport trips as opposed to performing a single logistic exercise to transport the completely equipped pre-manufactured substation to the site. In other words, the entire unit can be moved instead of rebuilding new construction buildings every time the site is moving along. The mobility of E-houses makes it cost effective to install and easy to relocate.
In association with a new partner, Jewll can design and develop these E-houses. E-houses are completely manufactured according to customer requirements and are customised with respect to the availability of space at the installation site and the voltage of switch gear to be installed.
Pipe fabrication
Pipe fabrication is the process of welding piping components such as pipes, elbows, T-pieces, flanges, etc., into engineering piping systems in exact accordance with customer design requirements. The vast amount of material, manpower, and time involved in designing, fabricating, and constructing the pipe spools require careful planning in order to achieve this goal.
Hydraulic Jack
As a new addition to our extensive product range, Jewll can supply various vehicle jacks, with the latest offering being a 40- to 400-ton mechanical hydraulic jack.
Designed to operate at a maximum height of 872,5 mm, the hydraulic jack has a maximum load capacity of 100 tons and a maximum equivalent stress value of 502,3 MPa.
At full extension the jack has a compression value of 200 bar and a value of 50 bar when fully retracted. The jack has an approximate weight of ± 950 kg and overall dimensions of 1 005 mm x 872,5 mm x 705 mm. Full testing determined that the jack has an extremely high safety factor.
This is a steel constructed refuge chamber that provides quality breathing air to miners in an emergency underground. They serve as a cache of clean, breathable air, ideal for any situation where workers could become trapped.
Chambers can be designed to meet individual customer requirements, including physical size and equipment installed.
Primary operation includes attaching to the mine’s main airlines and power sources for an indefinite supply of breathable air and electric power. If mine air is lost, an on-board carbon dioxide scrubber and oxygen cylinders provide 36 to 48 hours of breathable air. If mine power is lost, 36 to 48 hours of battery back-up power operates the CO2 scrubber, air conditioner, lighting and warning systems. Air conditioning units are included to regulate the interior temperature and humidity. Stations come standard with forklift slots, lifting and towing lugs to facilitate easy placement.
