Joined the Jewll board in 1996.

W. van der Lingen was involved in the manufacturing of flameproof products on a part-time basis for ten years and then a further three years in a full-time capacity since 1996. He attended courses in the inspection of flameproof enclosures and passed the SABS examination in 1996, thereby qualifying as an inspector. He is a co-founder, and the current Managing Director of Jewll, as well as being responsible for the marketing, design and development of the company.

Many of Jewll’s innovative designs for flameproof products came from his brilliant way of thinking. From the very beginning he has funded and managed Jewll into being the market leader it is now. His decisions has always kept Jewll afloat, and even through the recent pandemic he made sure that all the families of Jewll employees were taken care of first.

He is known for his big heart and generosity, which often come before his own needs. He has an insatiable thirst for life and the well being of others.

His visions and plans for Jewll, going forward, are enormous.
